The inspiration for this design came from the traditional practice of planting yams for a single season each year, which often compromises the nutritional value of the yams. Qinjianguo decided to take a different approach by cultivating the yams for a decade, allowing them to absorb rich nutrients from the fertile and robust land. The result is a highly nourishing iron stick yam pulp, which is then transformed into powder.
The packaging design beautifully captures the essence of the ten-year cultivation cycle. Elements from different seasons, such as swallows in springs, cicadas in summers, busy farming in falls, and cedars in winters, are depicted as visual symbols of the passing years. The delicate box showcases the season change in the decade, creating a visually stunning representation of the yam's journey.
Measuring at 120mm x 120mm x 150mm, the packaging is compact yet eye-catching. Its unique design and concept make it a standout in the market, attracting consumers who appreciate the value of long-term cultivation and the nutritional benefits it brings.
The Ten-year Planting Cycle Yam Powder packaging design has received recognition for its creativity and ingenuity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2022. This prestigious award honors designs that demonstrate outstanding technical and creative skills while contributing to improvements in quality of life.
Qinjianguo's Ten-year Planting Cycle Yam Powder packaging design is a testament to the brand's commitment to excellence and their dedication to providing consumers with high-quality, nourishing products. By embracing a unique cultivation process and showcasing it through innovative packaging, Qinjianguo sets itself apart in the market and offers consumers a truly exceptional product.
